May 2026 – Celebrating What Unites Us- Europe Day
In May, the Year 3 pupils of the 2nd Primary School of Malesina, together with their teacher, Ioanna Sarrou, celebrated Europe Day by participating in a creative workshop inspired by the title of our eTwinning project, "Celebrating What Unites Us."
The aim of this activity was to help students reflect on the values that unite the people of Europe, such as friendship, cooperation, peace, respect, equality, and solidarity.
To celebrate this special day, our pupils first designed the letters of our project title on a large scale. They then filled each letter with vibrant colours, creative patterns, and meaningful drawings that symbolized unity, diversity, and European friendship. Through their artistic creations, the children expressed their vision of a Europe where people work together, respect one another, and celebrate their cultural diversity.
This creative workshop gave the students the opportunity to express their ideas freely, develop their artistic skills, and reflect on the importance of belonging to a united European community. Their colourful artwork became a beautiful symbol of the message that, although we come from different countries and cultures, we share common values and a common future.
Celebrating Europe Day was a meaningful and enjoyable experience that encouraged our students to appreciate the richness of Europe's cultural diversity while recognizing everything that brings us together. This activity was a wonderful conclusion to our eTwinning journey, reminding us that together we shine beyond borders.
