April 2026 – Interviewing Our European Friends
In April, , the Year 3 pupils of the 2nd Primary School of Malesina, participated in an engaging collaborative activity as part of our eTwinning project, focusing on communication and cultural exchange.
The activity began in the national teams, where the students worked together to think of interesting questions they would like to ask their European partners. The questions were discussed in the classroom, and the best ones were selected to create a common interview guide.
Using this interview guide, the partner schools carried out interviews with one another. Our class exchanged questions with the students from Romania. We received their questions and answered them by creating a video, in which our pupils introduced themselves and shared information about their school, daily life, traditions, hobbies, and country. Likewise, the Romanian students answered the questions we had prepared for them, allowing us to learn more about their lives and culture.
This activity gave our students the opportunity to practice their English communication skills in a meaningful context while developing their confidence, collaboration, and digital skills. They were excited to interact with children from another European country and to discover both the similarities and the differences between their everyday lives.
The interview exchange was a valuable and enjoyable learning experience that strengthened the bonds between our partner schools and promoted friendship, mutual respect, and intercultural understanding. Through this activity, our students realized that communication is the key to building strong relationships and bringing people closer together, regardless of the distance between them.
