January 2026 – Creating Our European Hero

In January, the Year 3 pupils of the 2nd Primary School of Malesina, together with their teacher, Ioanna Sarrou, participated in an exciting collaborative activity as part of our eTwinning project: Creating Our European Hero.

The aim of this activity was to encourage students from different European countries to work together and create a hero who represents the values that unite us. Each partner school contributed a different element to the hero's identity, such as the hero's name, core values, superpowers, appearance, and mission.

Our class actively collaborated with our European partners by sharing ideas and discussing the qualities that make a true hero. Together, we created a hero whose greatest strengths are kindness, friendship, respect, courage, cooperation, and empathy. We also described how our hero can help make the world a better place by encouraging people to work together, respect one another, and support those in need.

We carefully read and discussed the characteristics of our hero, Captain Kind, with great interest. The students enthusiastically explored his superpowers, appearance, and personality, sharing their ideas and opinions. Using their imagination and creativity, they then brought Captain Kind to life through their drawings, illustrating the qualities and values that make him a true hero.

Through this collaborative activity, the students developed their creativity, communication, and teamwork skills while learning to appreciate different ideas and cultures. They discovered that real heroes are not defined by extraordinary powers but by the values they share and the positive actions they take every day.

Creating our European Hero was a meaningful and inspiring experience. It reminded our students that, by working together and embracing common values, we can all contribute to building a kinder, more peaceful, and more inclusive world. This activity was another important milestone in our eTwinning journey and strengthened the friendships we have built with our European partners.
