November 2025 – Discovering Portugal Through Our “Cultural Suitcase” Activity
In November, the Grade 3 students of the 2nd Primary School of Malesina, together with their teacher, Ioanna Sarrou, took part in the second collaborative activity of our eTwinning project.
The activity, entitled "Cultural Suitcase", aimed to help students explore the culture and traditions of the countries participating in the project through a creative and interactive learning experience.
Our class had the opportunity to discover Portugal. The students searched for information about the Portuguese flag, famous landmarks, traditional food, music, customs, and other interesting aspects of Portuguese culture. Inspired by what they learned, they created beautiful drawings depicting Portugal's landmarks, traditions, and cultural symbols. Their artwork, together with the information they had collected, became part of our digital Cultural Suitcase, which was shared with our project partners.
Through this activity, the students expanded their knowledge of another European country, developed their research, collaboration, and creative expression skills, and became more familiar with the use of digital tools. Drawing what they had learned helped them better understand and appreciate Portugal's rich cultural heritage in an enjoyable and meaningful way.
The Cultural Suitcase activity was a wonderful learning experience that promoted respect for cultural diversity, creativity, teamwork, and European citizenship. It was another successful step in our eTwinning journey, proving once again that "Beyond Borders, Together We Shine."
